Disney has scored the rights to “The Descendants” author Melissa de la Cruz’s upcoming young adult book “29 Dates” which will be produced for the streaming platform Disney+.
The story centers on a 16-year-old Korean exchange student whose ambitious parents have set her up on a number of seon (matchmaker) dates to meet appropriate young men from Seoul to San Francisco.
