Chappie

CHAPPIE is a 2015 science fiction action comedy-drama written and directed by Neill Blomkamp. Presumed to be a feature version of Blomkamp's own 2004 short Tetra Vaal, with elements from 2006 short Tempbot which features a similar-looking robot protagonist, the film will be about a robot named "CHAPPiE" programmed with the artificial intelligence to think and feel for himself. After being kidnapped by two criminals during birth, Chappie becomes the adopted son in a strange and dysfunctional family. Chappie is preternaturally gifted, one of a kind, a prodigy. He also happens to be a robot.
