Cowgirl's Last Ride

In this tale, we trail the unconventional retired Texas cowgirl, Fay (Davis). Chafing against the apathetic staff at her Dallas nursing home, she makes her escape in a pickup truck, steering towards her native East Texas. There, her more traditional son Randall (McNairy) intends to sell her ancestral home. Distraught and worried, Randall, accompanied by his concerned wife and children, embarks on a chase to find his spirited mother. En route, Fay reacquaints herself with memories and faces from her colorful past, notably an unforgettable rendezvous with the free-spirited Cali (Scott). This journey of reawakening propels Fay to rekindle the fire of her younger self, culminating in her swapping the truck's confines for the liberating back of a horse.
