Going for Two

Twelve-year-old Jimmy Moriarty discovers what he believes is a very serious and very personal problem. With no father around to guide him, Jimmy and his best friend Frankie decide they will solve it themselves, launching a series of increasingly desperate and hilarious schemes to raise money for an operation. Along the way, Jimmy adopts legendary Nebraska football coach Tom Osborne as a mentor from afar. When things go wrong, his question becomes: “What would Coach do?” Set against Nebraska's historic 1983 football season, the story ultimately becomes one about friendship, courage, integrity and what it really means to grow up.
