Oddlight

Chief Creative Officer Justin Parsler, also of Brunel University talked about what O8S believe to be a new way of using the smart phone interface: “Oddlight is one of those ideas that are obvious once you have thought of it. It is a touch screen game in which the player has to keep their finger on the screen while a variety of bugs and other beasties try to eat them. There are no other controls; it is a real minimalist approach. We want the player to feel connected with the action, and have coined the term ‘perpetual touch’ game play for this particular style of game. In Oddlight, there is no distraction from a need to work out what button to press next or deal with an over-intrusive UI, we believe Oddlight brings playing games back to the simple fun of immersive interaction.
