R-TYPE DX: Music Encore

In the year 220X, humanity made first contact with extraterrestrial life. The encounter was not one of peace—but with a hostile biomechanical force from another dimension known as the Bydo. Driven by hatred and destruction, the Bydo threatened the very survival of civilization. In response, humanity deployed the R-9 fighter equipped with its ultimate weapon, the Force. Thus began the First Bydo Mission—R-TYPE. After a fierce war, the Bydo appeared to be eradicated. But the battle was not over. Escaping into another dimension, the Bydo rebuilt their strength and tore open reality once again. The Second Bydo Mission—R-TYPE II—had begun. R-TYPE DX: Music Encore allows players to fight through both missions in succession in the ultimate mode, Ultimate Challenge.
