Rebel Core: Awakens

Rebel Core: Awakens is a fast paced action platformer inspired by classic jump-n-shoot games of the 16-bit era. Face off against the 8 Core Robotics in each of their own unique domains in any order you choose as you fight to rebalance a world overtaken by machines. A 3-way "Rock-Paper-Scissors" combat mechanic brings fast paced, moment-to-moment decision making as you engage each enemy with the ideal attack (or defense!) balance between Ranged Attacks, Melee Attacks, and Shield Defenses. Tight, responsive platforming and shooting gameplay reminiscent of the 16-bit era comes to life in a modern, fully-3d side-scrolling display ripe with wall climbing, platform hopping, chasm crossing, and lengthy pursuits both horizontal and vertical.
