The Originals Season 2

This is the second season of The Originals, an American television spin-off series. It follows the Mikaelson siblings - Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah – the ‘original’ vampires who appear in The Vampire Diaries. They return to New Orleans for the first time since 1919. Having originally built the city, they had been forced to flee from their vengeful father. In their absence, Klaus' protégé, Marcel, took charge of the city. Klaus resolves that they must take down Marcel and get back the city that once belonged to them. Season 2 was commissioned in February 2014, and continues the exploits of the siblings as they try to take back the city they helped build. Claire Holt left the main cast during Season 2 to spend more time with her loved ones, but she scheduled to return. The show stars Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies and Claire Holt as the principle Mikaelson siblings, and they are joined by Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, Daniella Pineda, Leah Pipes, Danielle Campbell and Yusuf Gatewood.
