The Pusher Trilogy (1996-2005)

In 1996, Nicolas Winding Refn changed Danish cinema forever with his debut film Pusher. With Pusher, Refn set a new standard for what Danish film could be, and shot himself directly onto the international film scene. The two sequels Pusher II and Pusher III completed the trilogy, which today is considered an iconic work that continues to inspire filmmakers around the world. The restoration process for all three Pusher films was done in collaboration with byNWR, TrustNordisk, and Nordisk Film Distribution, who used original 16mm camera negatives that were scanned in 4k. A new conform/online edit with updated graphics was performed, and the entire visual aspect of the films has been carefully restored while supervised by cinematographer Morten Søborg and director Nicolas Winding Refn. Additionally, a completely new sound mix has been created, now featuring Atmos audio.
