Twin Territories Season 1

Deals with iconic Black lawman of the west Bass Reeves. Arguably the greatest lawman west of the Mississippi and the first Black Deputy U.S. Marshal, Reeves brought in well over 3,000 dangerous criminals to justice in his 32 years as a federal peace officer. In the series, Reeves and the brash Irishman Chauncey Lee are faced with the almost impossible task of imposing the rule of law in the most dangerous place on earth. From outlaw bandits so bold they post their own wanted posters, to thriving native cultures pushed to the brink, it’s a battle for the future. The show will explore the methods Reeves used to bring justice to the Indian Territories and how he helped birth the state of Oklahoma. The series will be based on a novel by pre-eminent Reeves scholar Art T. Burton.
