Witches of the New World

A young man armed with flintlock and sword enters a cave in a hill somewhere to the west of the town of Salem, where the woods are deprived of bird sounds. They had fled the countryside, fled a terror lurking in its depths. A witchfinder by profession, Jedediah Hopkins was sent from England to the New World, to investigate bewildering events in the aftermath of a witch hunt craze spread in Salem and its surroundings. Were the trials just collective hysteria, or were they based on actual supernatural events? After investigating the town and interviewing its folk, witchfinder Jedediah uncovers a conspiracy of sinister origin; Devil-worshiping cultists working on behalf of a witches’ sabbath seeking to take control of Salem, plague it with hellish creatures, and claim for themselves the townfolk’s souls. Jedediah enters the cave seeking these witches, in a quest to defeat them and cast their demonic lords back into the abyss. Witches of the New World is a single player third person, action/ adventure videogame with Souls-like combat system, and RPG dialogue selection and character advancement.
