The year is 401 AD, and the scent of spring fills the air as the sun sets slowly. What initially appears to be an ordinary night along the banks of the Rhine River is, in fact, the prelude to the demise of the world's most enduring empire. Under the shroud of night, tens of thousands of Germanic soldiers have stealthily advanced towards the river. The Roman province mounts a valiant resistance, but the realization is dawning upon them that the territory they have governed for centuries can no longer be safeguarded. The Germanic tribes successfully reclaim significant provinces, yet they require a formidable leader to rally around. Your mission is to assume command of the campaign and advance through Europe, one province at a time. However, you are not alone in this endeavor.
